About / WeWalk Art Studio Collab

A studio built around making together.

Studio Collab is a collaborative clothing studio in one shared unit in Hackney Wick, East London. Printmakers, machinists and pattern makers make bespoke clothing on site and sell it directly to the people who wear it.

01 / Why it exists

Make it here. Sell it direct.

Studio Collab is the WeWalk Art Studio Collab. It exists so the people who make clothing can sell it straight to their own audience, from the room where it was made.

It works as a lab. Makers bring their practice into one shared unit, the clothing is made on site, and the studio puts its weight behind getting that work seen.

The making, the selling and the attention stay in one place.

02 / The shared unit

One unit. Every stage of the garment.

The work is mostly bold black-and-white screen prints on tees, hoodies and dresses. Each piece moves between disciplines without leaving the building.

  1. Print

Printmakers pull bold black-and-white screen prints onto cotton.

  2. Pattern

Pattern makers shape the garment so the print sits where it should.

  3. Machine

Machinists build the printed cloth into tees, hoodies and dresses.

  4. Sell

Finished pieces go online through WeWalk, straight to the people who wear them.

03 / Who is in the room

Different disciplines. Same table.

Who makes

  • Printmakers
  • Machinists
  • Pattern makers
  • Content creatives

Who it is for

  • Buyers of hand-made printed clothing
  • Makers ready to sell to their own audience
  • People looking for a room for interviews, gallery shows, DJ nights and parties

04 / The studio as engine

The makers make. The studio gets it seen.

Selling direct only works if people know the work exists. Studio Collab acts as the marketing engine behind the makers, in three ways.

Content

The story of the work, told from the studio where it is printed, cut and sewn.

Events

Gatherings that bring people into the room and put the clothing in front of them.

Local network

Hackney Wick and East London around the unit, helping the work travel further than one shop page.

05 / Said plainly

No small print.

Membership details, hire availability and practical arrangements are agreed through an enquiry.

You will not find prices, dates or fixed terms on this page, because they are settled with each person who gets in touch.

Tell us what you make, or what you want to bring into the space, and the details are worked out from there.

06 / Join or hire

Bring your practice into the room.

Printmakers, machinists, pattern makers and content creatives can apply to join the collab. Planning an interview, a gallery show, a DJ night or a party? Ask about the space. Both start on the Contact page.

Newsletter
